DR. MARK LENA ELECTED AS ACG GOVERNOR FOR STATE OF MAINE

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Mark Lena has been elected as American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Governor for the State of Maine. As Governor, he will serve as a liaison between Society members of gastroenterologists and the college.

Outpatient Service Center: On Track for Opening

Construction crews and St. Joe’s staff have been working diligently to bring our vision to reality. Next month, we are excited to welcome patients to our new St. Joseph Outpatient Service Center!

St. Joe’s Free Little Library

In July of 2021, with the help of book donors and local artist, Liam Reading, we introduced St. Joe’s Free Little Library to our community. It’s located outside our hospital’s Main Entrance and allows readers to pass along their treasured books for the next person to enjoy.

Mass Returns to St. Joseph Chapel

Sunday, July 11 marked an important day for St. Joseph Chapel. For the first time in more than a year, we welcomed staff and community members back into the chapel for in-person Mass. Though it looked a little different, with several COVID precautions in place and limited seating, it offered the same important opportunity to worship.

As a community we have continued to make great strides related to COVID infection rates. As such, we are continuing on our path to match current practices with the current community COVID status.

Updated Visitor Guidelines – EFFECTIVE JUNE 23, 2021

After careful consideration, we are pleased to share that our visitor policy is expanding! We are now allowing two visitors per 24 hour period. One visitor is allowed at a time. This change enables us to balance precautionary measures with the healing benefits loved ones provide.
