Outpatient Service Center: On Track for Opening

Construction crews and St. Joe’s staff have been working diligently to bring our vision to reality. Next month, we are excited to welcome patients to our new St. Joseph Outpatient Service Center!

St. Joe’s Free Little Library

In July of 2021, with the help of book donors and local artist, Liam Reading, we introduced St. Joe’s Free Little Library to our community. It’s located outside our hospital’s Main Entrance and allows readers to pass along their treasured books for the next person to enjoy.

Mass Returns to St. Joseph Chapel

Sunday, July 11 marked an important day for St. Joseph Chapel. For the first time in more than a year, we welcomed staff and community members back into the chapel for in-person Mass. Though it looked a little different, with several COVID precautions in place and limited seating, it offered the same important opportunity to worship.

What Losing Someone to Alzheimer’s Taught Me

We don’t appreciate our brains enough—at least I never did. That is, until I watched my grandmother’s memory slip away during a long battle with Alzheimer’s. The Grammie I knew and loved for 17 years slowly lost her personality, her brain function, and her knack for always having the right answer.
