Like many of you, we’re excited to see our community taking small steps towards brighter days. As the pandemic evolves, we find ourselves continuously evaluating efforts to see that we are also moving safely in the right direction.
The new recommended age to begin colorectal screening is 45 in average risk adults. This is 5 years earlier than the old recommendation and has roughly 21 million people aged 45-49 scratching their heads as to the next steps. We sat down with Dr. Sighinolfi to break down the important information.
It’s that time of year—the Community Vegetable Exchange Stand is now open! This program is designed to provide community members with access to fresh fruits and vegetables free of charge.
Construction continues at the St. Joseph Healthcare Park at 900 Broadway. Most recently there was increased construction activity with multiple crews from Versant Power onsite working to upgrade our electrical system. The electrical upgrade was necessary to support the addition of an X-Ray unit at the soon to be Outpatient Service Center.

On May 28, James Linehan, University of Maine Professor of Art and the Department Chair, became the newest artist to be featured at The Gallery at 900! His collection of 15-20 landscape paintings will be on display through August 28.
