It takes care and compassion to reduce the stigma associated with substance use and help those who are suffering get the help they desperately need. It’s not an easy problem to solve but it’s one we’re willing to tackle with the help of dedicated public health and social service leaders in our community.
St. Joe’s is honored to have wonderful community partners who team up with us to offer real solutions to the substance use epidemic in our region. Together with the City of Bangor, Penquis, and Penobscott Health Center, among others, we are doing whatever it takes to combat substance use in our region. This includes establishing new prescribing standards, administering Suboxone to those ready to recover, ensuring Narcan is available where and when it’s needed, and so much more.
We believe that through small and consistent actions, we will heal our community. And we could not do this without the support of our many community partners.
