COVID-19 Vaccine Update

On January 13, 2021 Governor Mills announced state-wide plans to begin COVID-19 vaccinations for individuals who are 70 years of age and older as soon as February 1.

Last week, we had just under 175 doses available for patients and held our first patient vaccination clinic on Saturday, January 23rd.

Because we know how challenging it can be for patients to navigate online appointment forms, we are proactively reaching out to patients meeting the Maine CDC criteria for Tier 1b (70+).  You do not need to call your St. Joseph Healthcare provider to schedule a patient, we will call you.

Like other healthcare providers in Maine, we are limited by the number of vaccines received from the Maine CDC, and the Maine CDC is limited by the number of vaccines they receive weekly.

We will continue to work with the Maine CDC and will provide further details here as available.

We are also collaborating with other healthcare entities to support a community-wide vaccination effort.

As we receive further information, we will communicate to St. Joseph patients through social media and other means.
