Celebrating IV Nurses Day – January 25th

January 25th, please join us in celebrating our IV Nurses!

National IV nurse day, January 25, was established in 1980 by the US House of Representatives to “honor and recognize the accomplishments of the nation’s IV/Infusion specialists each year”  The proclamation of this established date reads that “this recognition is long overdue for the nurses who practice IV therapy”.

IV nurses are essential in the coordination of carIV Infusion Nurses Bangor Mainee for patients.  From inserting intravenous lines to PICC lines and the education/maintenance of these lines to provide short and long term treatment for patients.   They are an integral part of the healthcare team and support healing through evidence based practice.

Here are some things our patients had to say about our IV/Infusion Nurses:

“Best group of nurses, they help ease my anxiety and make me comfortable”

“Amazing experience with the team.  Having a PICC placed was scary but they were professional and very kind”

“The Infusion Team at St. Joseph Infusion Center is the best!”

We are so fortunate to have a rock star team of IV/Infusion Nurses at SJB.
