At St. Joe’s, we believe little acts help strengthen our community. As a community hospital, we are honored to serve our community; not only through providing resources but also through providing meaningful support.
One way we’re contributing is by taking action to help improve the quality of life of those struggling to get by. For some time now we have provided clean linens and free health checkups to guests of the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter. We understand the importance of having a warm, clean, and safe place to sleep at night and have cleaned more than 56,000 pounds of laundry each year for local shelters. While a clean place to sleep isn’t everything, we hope that with free health checkups it’s a pretty good start to keeping our community healthy.
